Glyph Origin

Danrenpang probably serves as a semantic component here. But what is the function of 几 in this character? And, is it really the ancient form of 掌 as the Zhengzitong says? --Geographyinitiative (talk) 05:23, 1 January 2018 (UTC)

@Geographyinitiative: Danrenpang seems to be an empty component here. The left part of 𤓯 became 亻, and the right part became 几. — justin(r)leung _{{ (t...) | c=› }} 21:20, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
