@Geographyinitiative: Hi, can you fix the pinyin here please? — Eru·tuon 21:11, 7 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Justinrleung The 壠 character has no automatic Mandarin pinyin in zh-pron; I recommend adding lǒng as the pinyin form based on 现代汉语词典7 p843, 现代汉语规范词典3 p852 and http://dict.revised.moe.edu.tw/cgi-bin/cbdic/gsweb.cgi?o=dcbdic&searchid=W00000067453 . After consulting 现代汉语词典7 p843, 现代汉语规范词典3 p852 and 通用规范汉字表, I personally don't think it is prudent to add a simplified form for the character 壠, although a case could be made for 垄 based on 现代汉语词典7 p843. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 22:33, 7 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Geographyinitiative: Hmm, it seems like 壠 should pronounced as lóng, e.g. [1] [2] [3] [4]. For simplified, perhaps we could use 垅? — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 22:45, 7 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Justinrleung 垅 is not a legitimate simplified character as far as I can tell. I will listen to the youtube clips later, but if the lóng reading does exist, it should of course be included. I don't know what it would mean for the lǒng reading. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 23:31, 7 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Geographyinitiative: While it isn't really a "legitimate" character, google:"大武垅族" -"大武壟族" -"大武壠族" does give some hits. I don't think we should list the lǒng even if that's the "standard" reading for the equivalent standard character 壟/垄. The sources don't have any info about this particular word, so I wouldn't not apply the standards here. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 01:53, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Justinrleung I would definitely agree to a '|alt=大武垅族' of some type. If you feel that the lóng pronunciation is firmly established, then maybe a slight change plus a mandarin note should be added to the page? --Geographyinitiative (talk) 03:46, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
