Mainland Hokkien "sàm" to mean "slap"

@Mlgc1998 I'm checking the sources you put, and I can't find it. Basically, I can't find where you found the word "sàm" which means "to slap" for Xiamen, Zhangzhou, and Quanzhou. Mar vin kaiser (talk) 17:39, 26 May 2024 (UTC)

@Mar vin kaiser "to slap"? I didn't put "to slap" on Mainland China Hokkien. For Quanzhou Hokkien, there is apparently a "to strike; to hit; to knock" from p.329 of 闽南方言大词典 where it wrote "扣(球)。". I edited this entry before in relation to someone in the gc talking about a "sàm" regarding slapping people's heads and tried to look for where that came from and 闽南方言大词典 just wrote that on their sam⁵ entry.
