Keep. It's an important character in calligraphy; the term is present in Daijirin and Daijisen; and you can't just say any combination of roots, e.g. 言字 (genji). Some terms in Japanese may appear SOP, but because they're derived from Sinitic roots, it would only be accurate to compare them to set terms derived from roots in English.
