Russian related words[edit]

Somebody claimed Russian word family чу́до ("a miracle") has got the same etymology. It seems very improbable. Since the root чу́д/цуд is very popular among Slavic languages and bears extremely close resemblance to words for "feel", like Russian чувст-вовать or Polish czuć (as a miracle is something you feel). Even Wiktionary states that: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D1%87%D1%83%D0%B4%D0%BE#Russian Have you got any reference for that? Or can it be removed? LazC (talk) 10:57, 27 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Questions on talk pages tend to get overlooked if someone doesn't spot them right away. I've brought it up at the Etymology scriptorium, which is the normal place to ask such questions. Chuck Entz (talk) 13:56, 27 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
