Talk:as of now

@Equinox: Collins disagrees with me. Am I wrong, or are there two meanings ("up to now" vs. "from now on")? --Barytonesis (talk) 20:38, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
- It basically means "now; at this point". So you could say "as of now, nobody has been killed" or "as of now, we will not kill any more people". That's still just one sense really. Equinox ◑ 20:40, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Equinox: Thanks. I've tweaked the def. --Barytonesis (talk) 20:45, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
as of now does not mean “at present”; rather, it means “up to the present time.” --Backinstadiums (talk) 17:42, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
Done Finally split into two senses. Check out the usage examples. Equinox ◑ 21:54, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
