Just a note, " 'beaner" [SIC] in Rock/Mountain climbing is short for carabiner. The spelling is different, but I'm not sure how often it is actually spelled, short-form.
also, derogitory name for Mexican. nickname for a CPA?

Etymology 2 says "unknown", but seems evident[edit]
