Possible Origin from Arabic

I don't understand what you are asking. What does "my jar of mustard" or "my mustard" have to do with دَوْشِيرْمَة (dawšīrma)? As to "ultimately from Arabic", دَوْشِيرْمَة (dawšīrma) cannot be originally Arabic. —Stephen ^(Talk) 21:45, 31 May 2017 (UTC)

I guess you're thinking that German dazugeben sounds as though it might come from "dawšīrma". There is no relation. Dazugeben is from da (“there”) + zu (“to”) (or dazu (“thereto”)) + geben (“give”), all very Germanic and ultimately from Proto-Indo-European. —Stephen ^(Talk) 19:26, 1 June 2017 (UTC)
