Head tie

@Lingo Bingo Dingo I had added sn-noun to make that annoying "no head temp" go away. The word "dhuku" can be found on w:Head tie, but it doesn't specify a language. And Zimbabwe has 16 official languages. Shona is good for ~70% and Ndebele ~20% so Shona would be the best bet. I had left the entry invisible because I don't have a better source. Oh, right. In that case it is okay to comment it out again, and it would have also been fine to (partially) undo my edit. Searching for google books:dhuku Shona does suggest this is Shona and that it is attestable (see also this dictionary), but it is indeed not desirable to have entries based on inferences by non-speakers. Maybe @Metaknowledge can verify whether it is Shona or not. We apparently don't have a user language category for Shona. ←₰-→ Lingo ^Bingo _Dingo (talk) 08:15, 21 December 2018 (UTC)

@Alexis Jazz, Lingo Bingo Dingo: I have a Shona dictionary, and I have fixed up the entry accordingly. Alexis, do not continue to create entries in languages which you know nothing about. Some of them will be fine, and some will be horrendously wrong, like your attempt at a "Bengal" entry, which is the wrong name for a language that isn't even written in Latin script. Indeed, I sometimes have trouble skirting the line between shouting and being polite to a degree that you wouldn't take this as a serious warning, which it is. @DTLHS For the record, the section in Caribbean Hindustani was already commented out by the entry creator when the entry was created (diff), that was undone when NadandoBot corrected the placement (diff). It wasn't intended as an alternative for RFV.

@Metaknowledge The dictionary didn't include any word with this spelling. On the other hand, here (under "kadertekst 3") a specialist in Surinamese creole languages gives dhuku as Sarnami (also stating that it is the source of doekoe). ←₰-→ Lingo ^Bingo _Dingo (talk) 10:51, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
