Copying the discussion from Requested entries (English):

  • Domicology - OneLook - Google (BooksGroupsScholar) - WP Library [dom-uh-kol-uh-jee] is the study of the economic, social, and environmental characteristics relating to the life cycle of the built environment. Comes from the Latin origin "domicile" and "ology." Currently used in academic setting, as a course available in the Urban and Regional Planning Program in the School of Planning, Design, and Construction at Michigan State University.
Every instance I've found so far was either (co)authored by Rex LaMore (a professor at Michigan State) or written about him. Cnilep (talk) 23:46, 23 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Use is still limited to MSU and citation of MSU in 2020. Vox Sciurorum (talk) 20:00, 1 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Quick, delete before it escapes and we see community spread. As a neologism having the apparent structure domic- + -ology, if it is formed from domicile (can this be sourced?), it is both strangely formed and semantically less than adequate.  --Lambiam 18:30, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

RFV-failed. It may catch on eventually, but so far, the uses are not independent. Kiwima (talk) 01:30, 22 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
