Rfv-sense X 5: Though this term in principle could have all the meanings given, I doubt that a term that appears but once in COCA and not at all in BNC has much contemporary use except in the sense of "improvement" (which has but one citation supporting it). Yes, I think the verb "to embetter" became obsolete before it could be turned into a noun. George W. Bush didn't have the same word-inventing influence that Matt Groening had with embiggen. Dbfirs 19:35, 24 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
