Only used by Carlyle in what one author describes as "terms which, in their stubborn awkwardness and unmusicality, are representative Carlylese". If (by some miracle) kept, the delightfully wrongheaded etymology needs fixing. This, that and the other (talk) 06:34, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
