Intransitive?[edit]

Is it ever used intransitively? I ask because someone's added this as a synonym at skedaddle, which is never transitive. Equinox 18:13, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't the third usage example intransitive: As soon as she arrived, I hightailed out of there.? And aren't the other two transitive? They all seem like native speech to me. DCDuring TALK 18:57, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Though I like definitions to be substitutable, I don't feel that all synonyms have to have the same grammar, eg, complements. DCDuring TALK 19:00, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
