Actually, I would keep this. Lots of the usage doesn't refer to any 'end', such as "In the end he just walked out of the room". End here does refer to any final state, this is because 'in the end' functions as a single unit. Mglovesfun (talk) 09:54, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

In the beginning and in the middle always refer to an actual beginning and an actual middle don't they? In the end can either refer to an actual end, or not, as I stated above. Mglovesfun (talk) 09:16, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
