Etymology split?[edit]

The money-pool sense is a different ety from the cat sense, isn't it? We should also probably indicate that the sexual sense is a sort of euphemism for "pussy" (also a cat). Equinox 23:55, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Im not familiar with guidelines on how ety should be done, but
  1. the money-pool sense doesnt appear to have a 100% confirmed ety, but there does appear to be a 'most-likely' ety being Middle Dutch word kit
  2. I suspect the ety of 'kitty', being a common name to refer to a prostitute, pre-dates 'pussy', and de-tangling those two would fill a thesis or two.
