It is not clear what we are supposed to verify. Clearly, the verb nominer exists ([1], [2], [3]), and then it has of course this form as its past participle ([4], [5], [6]), and – as in general in French – such a past participle can be used as an adjective ([7], [8], [9]), and like adjectives in general can then also be used in French as a noun ([10], [11], [12]). It can be argued that the use of past participles as adjectives and nouns is such a general feature of French grammar that we should not have separate entries for them; for example, accusé is easily atttestable in these roles, but we only list it as a verb form. But that is not a matter of verification.  --Lambiam 13:19, 4 February 2020 (UTC)

I can add that le Trésor lists this term as a noun, but warns us that the Académie française, in its session of 7 February 1985, has condemned this term as well as the verb nominer as Americanisms.  --Lambiam 13:34, 4 February 2020 (UTC)

In other words, it can't find the word, but it still offers it as a suggestion. What's more, if you click on the"nominé" suggestion link, you get the same result. It looks to me like their "Académie 9ème édition" database isn't ready for prime time... Chuck Entz (talk) 15:02, 4 February 2020 (UTC)

It is not found because it is not in the database. It is not in the database because it is not included in the dictionnaire of the Académie. It is not in the dictionnaire because it is not a word but an abomination (according to the Académie). Other abominations such as disrupter are also not in the dictionnaire. It is mentioned there though under nomination. The late M. Jean Dutourd, immortel until he died, would that every sinner using the term nominer each time pay 5 francs (now about 1 euro).  --Lambiam 21:02, 4 February 2020 (UTC)
