Rfd-redundant noun: "(Wjargon) A tool used to quickly revert vandalism" redundant to "(computing) An operation which returns a database, or group of records in a database, to a previous state (normally to the previous commit point)". (If this is deemed to be separate, it will need also to have separate citations, but that's a bridge to cross if we come to it.)—msh210 (talk) 17:19, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I removed it (as adder of sense). PiRSquared17 17:23, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Mglovesfun (talk) 08:45, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Definition too broad[edit]

Sense 1 ("a return to a prior state") could potentially cover things like a wife going back to marriage with her husband after separation, or a piece of land becoming a grassy field again when houses are knocked down. I think we need to narrow it down a bit. Rollback is usually a technical term suggesting that a specific operation or transaction has been undone. Equinox 02:31, 23 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Done I suppose: I've added "...by undoing some operation". Equinox 21:32, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
