- Haven't searched exhaustively but it seems like the one-word form is used exclusively in taxonomic descriptions, does it mean something more specific than just "the upper side"? —Al-Muqanna المقنع (talk) 10:45, 20 September 2023 (UTC)

- Kept due to the one-word alt form upperside, though that seems possibly rare and erroneous to me: English pronunciation rules would usually not allow it to be stressed the same way. Equinox ◑ 17:56, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
