‘In second-wave feminist discourse’ seems like overkill to me (and anyway I don't think it's true; it's used plenty by third-wave feminists as well). Perhaps ‘feminism’ or ‘gender studies’ would be better. Ƿidsiþ 20:03, 9 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

I had used the more specific gloss in an attempt to clarify that more recent waves of feminism often/sometimes avoid and/or criticize the term. In retrospect, that's probably a matter for a usage note or just a link to Wikipedia (although Wikipedia's article on the term is just a pitiful stub at the moment), and the shorter label is fine. (After all, a label like "US" doesn't mean "all groups in the US use this term".) - -sche (discuss) 21:20, 9 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
