This template is used to create the definitions of Egyptian verb forms.

Parameters

1=
The verb lemma form to link back to.
2=
The verb form/aspect/mood. The following values are possible:
  • inf - infinitive
  • neg-comp - negatival complement
  • comp-inf - complementary infinitive
  • imp - imperative
  • imp-p - plural imperative
  • stat - stative stem
  • ipfv-ḥr - periphrastic imperfective (with ḥr)
  • ipfv-m - periphrastic imperfective (with m)
  • pros-r - periphrastic prospective (with r)
  • prf - perfect
  • pass - ‘passive’ (i.e. synthetic perfect passive)
  • term - terminative
  • pfv - perfective
  • ipfv - imperfective
  • pros - prospective
  • sbjv - subjunctive
  • cnsv - consecutive
  • oblv - obligative
  • pot - potentialis

Voice. For active forms that are not participles, this should be left empty. The following values are possible:
  • pass - passive (this should be supplied even if parameter 1= is also pass)
  • pass-tw - analytic passive formed with .tj or .tw, when distinct from a synthetic passive (i.e. only for the prospective and perfect passive)
  • act - active (this should be supplied only for active participles)

Type of verbal adjective. For all forms that are not verbal adjectives, this should be left empty. The following values are possible:
  • nom - nominal/emphatic form (identical to the relative form with a bare stem when uninflected for person and number)
  • rel - other relative form (with either a weak consonant at the end of its stem, or person/number endings)
  • ptcp - participle
t= or gloss=
An optional gloss for the lemma form.
notdef=
Set this equal to anything for use of this template outside of definition lines (e.g. in etymology sections, for proper categorization).
dot=
Set this equal to anything to add a final dot.

All of these parameters except the first two are optional.
