Dating

This template says the distinction is "since the 1960s"; Wikipedia's article on Gender says it dates to 1955, and on the talk page works have been found making the distinction in 1945 and 1950, where it "appears without crediting any prior source, implying that either it's Bentley's idea or it's a well-known and accepted one." - -sche (discuss) 08:35, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
