Vietnamese[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Non-Sino-Vietnamese reading of Chinese (“fifth Earthly Branch”; SV: thần); some dictionaries (such as Thiều Chửu's) consider it as Sino-Vietnamese, but in in Thìn is unlikely to be a Sino-Vietnamese rhyme, compared to the likely one in thần; see also , Mẹo, Mùi

Pronunciation[edit]

  1. A female given name
  2. the fifth Earthly Branch represented by the Dragon
