You asked: Why is it that when I put "Australia" or "NZ" it adds the categories automatically but not when I put "Western Australia"? That's because there is a special large category list elsewhere that only handles the most important basic categories, and turns them into links etc. Can't remember where. Ask WT:GP if help needed. Do you know how this can be fixed? It seems that categories for sub-dialects of English in other countries (e.g US, UK) and other languages (e.g Japanese dialects for different parts of Japan) work but not Australian English varieties. This should be fixed because in Australia we sometimes use different words for the same thing depending on where you are. For example, in Western Australia (where I live) we call swimwear "bathers", but in New South Wales they say "swimmers" and in Queensland they say "togs". 1.145.112.46 06:43, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I would use both, separated by a pipe, e.g. {{lb|en|UK|Berkshire}}. Equinox 10:33, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
