Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to one of the discussion rooms or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

Format[edit]

See Wiktionary:Entry layout explained. auriferous had a 'related terms' heading at level 2; level 2 is reserved for Language headings by convention. The edit summary had more details and 'autoformat' added an RFC template with a message. Trying to format in exactly the way Autoformat expects it is hard, that why we have the autoformat bot. Aha, that page explains it all. Thanks for the tip! Nihiltres 20:39, 18 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia[edit]

Capitalization errors (e.g. from FT) are given as faithfully as possible. It is fine to add "[sic]" though. --Connel MacKenzie 03:06, 20 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

OK, I didn't know that. Where should I add "[sic]"? I can't find any information on this in WT:QUOTE. Nihiltres 20:43, 22 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
