A user suggests that this German entry be cleaned up, giving the reason: “Please check the etymology. "Wahrschau" already appears in the 19th century (and not just in "in dem Herzogthum Wahrschau", "Wahrschau, bei Gottlieb Lügenicht. 1832" were it should mean Varsovia or Warsaw), and duden gives a different etymology. Also, Adelung has a verb wahrschauen, so maybe Wahrschau comes from that.” |
