Lua memory errors

We face Lua memory errors on long pages that we currently have no solution for. This does not fix the problem, but it does have the benefit of reducing the length of some of our longest pages, including a and i, which would be a welcome (though minor) side effect. —Μετάknowledge^{discuss/deeds} 00:18, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

Language specific pronunciations

In a there are many differing pronunciations of the letter. What would become of this information? DTLHS (talk) 02:38, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

Do you mean like a#Azerbaijani? The information there is that if you see an a, it is (usually) pronounced as /ɑ/. That kind of information belongs in an appendix (like the existing Appendix:Armenian script).

If you mean the way letters are pronounced when we refer to them by name, that would not be under the header 'Letter' (e.g. see cee#English). —Μετάknowledge^{discuss/deeds} 05:07, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

It seems unlikely that all letters have phonetic respellings, even if they have pronunciations. DTLHS (talk) 05:59, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

The rational given for this vote is a bit slim.

There is no feasable definition of "letter" given. If a letter, as per the proposal, were defined as not a word, it would bebin principle out of scope for the project. 109.41.1.116 22:55, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
