Voting[edit]

Eirikr has agreed to become an administrator but for family reasons he has been inactive and hasn't accepted the nomination formally. Also, he doesn't accept emails, so we can't notify him. I haven't voted for him for this reason. --Anatoli 02:02, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I think so. Perhaps need to restart the vote by simply changing the dates?. Please advise what's best. Those who voted can revote (will send them a reminder) but Eirikr needs to change his user preferences and accept the nomination. --Anatoli 02:13, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know why people are voting pre-acceptance. Not a huge deal because they will presumably vote the same way afterwards, but it's irregular and a bit odd. Equinox ◑ 02:15, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Eh, the presumption is that he will formally accept (as he has informally), and activate his e-mail address (as is necessary). I think, once he accepts, the early votes should be valid. Whether the early votes are accepted or not, you might want to extend the end date of the vote once he accepts. - -sche (discuss) 02:18, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
