[edit]Learned borrowing from Latin amphiprostȳlos, from Ancient Greek ἀμφιπρόστυλος (amphipróstulos, “having pillars on either front”), from ἀμφί (amphí, “both”) + πρόστυλος (próstulos, “with pillars in front”), from πρό (pró, “before, forth”) + στῦλος (stûlos, “pillar”).
