From the scientific term anorexia nervosa (1957), from the symptom anorexia ‎(loss of appetite), from Ancient Greek ἀν- ‎(an-, without) + ὄρεξις ‎(órexis, appetite, desire), and Latin nervōsa ‎(nervous).
