bed truck (plural bed trucks)

  1. A type of flatbed truck, integral cab and bed, sometimes articulated, with 8x8x8 four-axle drive (8x8) and 4-axle steering (8x8x8). These trucks have more than 8 wheels, the rear axle pair each having a pair of wheels on each side, totalling 12 wheels, and typically have stabilizer arms for additional grip and stability when parked.
