(deprecated template usage) Probably coined by Simeon Hayden Guilford ante 1905: (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Latin ben(e) (“well, properly”) + occlusion (“alignment of the teeth in closed jaws”), after malocclusion (“misalignment of the upper and lower sets of teeth”).
