boil off (third-person singular simple present boils off, present participle boiling off, simple past and past participle boiled off)

  1. (transitive) to remove by boiling
    Cooking it will boil off the vodka.
  2. (intransitive) to be removed by boiling
    Some of the salt will rise up with the vapors, but most of it will be left in the pan when the water has boiled off.
