Etymology

From cata- +‎ -lepsy; ultimately from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek κατάληψις (katálēpsis, act of seizing), from καταλαμβάνω (katalambánō, I seize), from κατά (katá, against) + λαμβάνω (lambánō, I take).
