(deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old French (13th century), from either (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old Occitan or (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Italian daga. The Catholicum Armoricum glosses Breton dac as French dague, Latin pugio, adding ou c'est badelaire (Du Cange).
