From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Middle French dissuader, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Latin dissuādeō (I urge differently”, “I advise against”, “I dissuade), from dis- (away from”, “asunder) + suādeō (I recommend”, “I advise”, “I urge).
