diversity fatigue (uncountable)

  1. (sociology) The situation where a person or organization loses interest in diversity initiatives through repeated exposure or lack of results.
    • 1998, Z Magazine, volume 11, numbers 1-6, page 8:
      We're now told that much of the media industry has come down with "diversity fatigue." Before this malady, the story goes, the American Society of Newspaper Editors was committed to racial diversity.
