     Et, desque entrar[õ] estes messeieyros con sua conpanha ena naue, (et) o Çide chegou aa rribeira et mãdou escodrinar os messeieyros por saber se leuauã mais do que auiã a leuar, segundo que era ena postura.

     And, once this messengers and their retinue entered the ship, El Cid came to the riverbank and ordered to inspect the messengers, for finding out if they were carrying more than what was stipulated in the agreement
