- (transitive) to thread, to add threads to (a pin, a cylindrical hole) (forming a screw or nut)
- (transitive, embroidery) to finish (a carrover embroidery) (by sewing the cords onto the cut edge of the fabric, to cover it entirely and prevent fraying)
- (transitive, sewing, textiles) to decorate with trimming (see filletto)
- (transitive, cooking) to filet/fillet (a fish)
