From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old Galician-Portuguese *faldra, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Gothic 𐍆𐌰𐌻𐌸𐌰𐌽 (falþan), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Germanic *falþaną (“to fold”)[1][2]. Cognate with Portuguese falda.
