Asturian[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Maybe from German Wagen or Dutch wagen, referring to the children who were in charge of pulling the wagons in the Asturian mines, the engineers of German and Dutch origin could have used this word to name them. Another theory says that it comes from native american origin and related to Spanish guaje.
