From ibi (“place”) + ì- (“nominalizing prefix”) + kó (“to place”) + ohun (“thing”) + ìṣẹ̀ǹbáyé (“ancient, prehistoric”) + sí (“into”), literally “The place that houses ancient and prehistoric things”.
