  1. (geology) An isobase of equal upheaval.
    • 1987, Miron N. Popescu, “Maps of recent vertical crustal movements in Romania: Similarities and differences”, in Journal of Geodynamics, volume 8, numbers 2–4, page 132:
      The northern part is the most important uplift zone in Romania, while the southern part has a similar velocity to the other mountains in Romania. The Dorna Depression, which in the previous map was only outlined, is contoured by isoanabases with values reduced (+ 3.0 mm/y) in the new one.
