Lower Sorbian[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Cognate with Upper Sorbian jutry, Kashubian Jastrë, and Polabian jostrǻi; apparently from a Germanic word related to Old High German ōstara, from Proto-Germanic *Austrǭ.[1]
