From Turkish kurabiye, from Arabic غُرَّبِيَّة (ḡurrabiyya).

  1. (rare) A cookie, particularly a sweet (originally Middle Eastern, now also Turkish, Greek and Albanian) cookie, often made with almonds or hazelnuts.
