Etymology[edit]

Pseudo-Sino-Vietnamese, anagram of Chinese 關聯关联, 關連关连 (quan liên), perhaps erroneously anagramized by analogy with liên hệ, liên tục, liên đới, etc. Compare Japanese 関連, 関聯 (kanren) and Korean 관련 (gwallyeon).
