  1. (of a book or similar) Having pages that are not attached and are designed to be removed.
    All the pages fell out of my loose-leaf notebook.
  2. (of a plant or a tea) that has loosely connected or separate leaves
    Lab tests would later reveal that the plant material was actually loose-leaf tea.
