Etymology[edit]

Metaescaline was first synthesized by Alexander Shulgin, and included in his book PIHKAL (Phenethylamines I Have Known and Loved).

  1. A lesser-known psychedelic drug, 3,4-dimethoxy-5-ethoxyphenethylamine; It is an analog of mescaline. Little data exists about the pharmacological properties.
