[edit]Usage notes
[edit]- The word mời with the English meaning "please" is used at the beginning of the sentence and followed by a second personal pronoun as a polite suggestion or invitation to do something.
- Mời anh uống cà phê. ― Please have a cup of coffee.
- If it is placed after the subject, mời retains its literal English meaning "to invite".
