[edit]From Ancient Greek πολυπραγμοσύνη (polupragmosúnē, “meddlesomeness”), from πολυπράγμων (poluprágmōn, “meddlesome”) (from πολύς (polús, “many”) + πρᾶγμα (prâgma, “act”)) + -σύνη (-súnē, “-ness”). See poly-, pragmatic.
