regrowth (usually uncountable, plural regrowths)

1. That which has been regrown after removal.

   After the forest fire, much of the regrowth consisted of invasive non-native plant species.

2. The process of regrowing.

   The eventual regrowth of the forest to its primeval state will take centuries, if not millennia.
